  • NEWSBYTE: Massachusetts Passes An Act Relative to Floor Finishing Products Print Page Tell Friend

    On July 2, 2010, the Governor of Massachusetts signed Bill 4565 into law. The Act prohibits the use of floor finishing products with flashpoints below 100 degrees Fahrenheit for any commercial floor finishing operation. A “floor finishing product” is defined as any liquid or mixture used for any floor finishing operation including any paint, varnish, lacquer, lacquer sealer, stain or wax. In addition, the law stipulates that whoever - sells, keeps for sale, offers for sale, has in their possession or under their control, or uses - lacquer sealer with a flashpoint below 100 degrees Fahrenheit will be in violation of this law and will be fined.
